Please plan to park at the Memorial Park Ballfields and catch a shuttle to the host's home, or you may get dropped off at the home if you take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi. We encourage all attendees to dress in camping casual, no heels. You'll be more at home in hiking boots or shoes, a fleece jacket and hat. We are following the weather closely and plan to have the dining tables in a large tent with some heaters, but please dress warmly, as this will be an outdoor event, held in a partially enclosed and heated tent in the backyard of the host's home with a view of Buffalo Bayou. You'll need to "hike" down to the party by the bayou so you'll be outdoors for part of the time. There will be fireside s'moores under the stars and an opportunity to hike down to Buffalo Bayou from the host's home. More information and parking maps can be found here
Adventure awaits at Camp Crestwood! Join us on Wednesday, November 13th
for the Bayou Preservation Association’s 2019 fundraiser.
Funds raised through Camp Crestwood
will support the Bayou Preservation Association’s CPR
mission: to c
rotect and r
estore the natural richness of all our bayous and streams. Our ongoing programs include stream corridor restoration, bayou citizen science, trash-free bayous, and bayou appreciation.
From restoring native vegetation along bayous and creeks to hosting trash clean ups to promoting paddling and other recreational opportunities, the Bayou Preservation Association is improving the health of our waterways. Your support of Camp Crestwood
will provide us with critical operating funds to further this work on behalf of our region's most valuable natural resources—our bayous and streams.
We look forward to seeing you on November 13th
to enjoy great food, drinks, entertainment, and the company of like-minded bayou stewards!
