Elaine Finger named March's Bayou Board Member

A dedicated board member for 17 years, Elaine Finger joined Bayou Preservation Association in 2003 and has become one of the organization's biggest advocates.

Not one to waste time, Elaine hit the ground running shortly after getting involved when she offered to chair 2003's gala Krazy Kajun Kookout. In the years since, Elaine has been exemplary in stepping up in times of need and has consistently demonstrated an ardent support for Bayou Preservation's mission. She co-chaired 2016's 50th anniversary luncheon, 2017's gala Merriment on the Bayou, and is graciously chairing 2020's 11th annual Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Award luncheon.

Elaine brings her many years of experience and talent to Bayou Preservation Association. In addition to serving as the long-time Chair of the Development Committee, Elaine has also effectively served on the Board of Directors' Executive Committee and Finance Committee.

Passionate philanthropists, Elaine and her husband Marvy Finger have significantly impacted Houston's community through the Marvy Finger Family Foundation. In addition to broadening the organization's base by engaging friends, family members and colleagues in our mission, Elaine and Marvy have been pace-setting leaders in support of Bayou Preservation Association's vision of a healthy network of bayous, streams and watersheds.

On behalf of the staff at Bayou Preservation Association and the community that benefits from all your hard work  thank you Elaine for continuing to be a bayou advocate and making our work possible.
