The BPA celebrated its 40th Anniversary of dedication to Houston and the surrounding area's bayous, streams and rivers at its annual gala "Groovin on the Bayou"!

The gala was held on the banks of Buffalo Bayou at the home of Colleen Holthouse, hostess extraodinaire!  Nothing was lacking nor overlooked by our hostess and gala committee and the grounds of her home were a spectacular location for a grand party.

It truly was a big to do groovin' to the oldies, and everyone had a great time celebrating our anniversary. Some guests were even heard to say it was the best party they'd been to in a long time!  For pics of the event, check out the Fall 2006 Bayou Forum.

There were bellbottoms a plenty, painted faces, popsicles, love beads and more hippy dippy duds than you could shake a love bead at!
