Clear Creek starts in southern Harris County just east of Missouri City and runs eastward until it meets Clear Lake. The watershed encompasses portions of Harris, Galveston, Brazoria and Fort Bend counties; 16 cities including Houston, Brookside Village, Pearland, Friendswood, League City, Pasadena, the Clear Lake Area communities and 5 drainage/flood control districts. Clear Creek is one of the most beautiful wild streams in the Houston area and one of the last untouched, pristine bayous in Harris County. Most of the mid-section of the creek is great for canoeing. At its southeastern terminus, Clear Creek flows through Clear Lake and into Galveston Bay. Most of the mid-section of the creek has large pines and hardwoods along the banks and an abundance of wildlife.
