About The Event
Kick off the 2026 Neighborhood Resilience Network Series with our Yard Waste Workshop — the first of three free, hands-on events designed to equip Houstonians with practical tools for more sustainable homes and greener communities.
Led by Master Gardener Robin Kendrick-Yates, this workshop will teach you how to turn everyday yard waste into nutrient-rich compost. Learn how composting supports plant growth, improves soil health, reduces landfill waste, and protects Houston's local ecosystems. Participants will take part in building a compost system and leave with real-world knowledge you can apply at home.
