About the Series:
Confluence: Where Ideas and Practice Meet is Bayou Preservation Association’s premier biannual symposium, convening professionals across conservation, planning, engineering, and sustainable development to explore timely challenges and practical solutions shaping Houston’s future.
Now in its 23rd year, Confluence fosters cross-sector dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful connections—bringing ideas from policy and research into real-world practice to advance a more resilient region.
This year's organizing partners include AECOM, Asakura Robinson, EHRA Engineering, the Environmental Institute of Houston, the Harris County Flood Control District, the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District, the Office of the County Engineer, and Resource Environmental Solutions.
