Pots for Plots: Finca Tres Robles Farm

Bayou Preservation Association is excited to partner with our friends from Small Places at Finca Tres Robles Farms for the upcoming August Pots for Plots collection site. On Sunday, August 6th, from 6 pm - 9 pm, you can drop off your plastic plant pots at the designated Pots for Plots collection bin.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to bring your old plastic plant pots and your favorite crock pot dishes. It will be a fantastic occasion to discover more about watershed conservation, urban farming in Houston and indulge in delicious snacks. Come together with Bayou Preservation Association and Small Places for a memorable, educational, and enjoyable experience.Join us for an informative tabling session led by Morton Sager, Bayou Preservation's Project Coordinator, dedicated to educating and empowering individuals to contribute to preserving Houston's bayous. The session will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm, providing an opportunity to learn valuable insights and ways to get involved.

But wait, there's more! In conjunction with the tabling session, Small Places will host a delightful potluck and oak sapling giveaway. This special event serves as their farewell gathering before they move to their new 40-acre location. The potluck and sapling giveaway will occur from 6 pm to 9 pm.

POT CONDITIONS:

• Bring your whole plastic plant pots for collection
• No cracked or broken pots
• Try to remove as much soil as possible
• Remove all bags and stack the pots in the bin.
• Carrying trays, seedlings, and sheet pots are accepted
