Pots for Plots: Permanent Bin Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Celebrate sustainability with Bayou Preservation Association's first permanent Pots for Plots bin!

Time & Location

Mar 20, 2024, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Quality Feed & Garden, 1813 Luzon St, Houston, TX 77009, USA

About The Event

Join us on March 20th at Quality Feed & Garden for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the installation of our first permanent Pots for Plots collection bin!

Pots for Plots is our community-driven initiative tackling plastic waste by giving single-use plant pots a new life at local nurseries and farms. Last year alone, we collected a whopping 15,173 pots across 9 sites, benefiting 24 partners and making a significant impact on our environment.

With this permanent bin at Quality Feed & Garden, you can now recycle your used plant pots year-round! This is a major milestone for our program, and we invite you to celebrate with us as we officially open this new chapter in sustainable practices.

The event will include:

  • A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the permanent bin.

  • Speeches from representatives of Bayou Preservation Association, Quality Feed & Garden, and community partners.
