About The Event

Empower yourself and your community this summer with Bayou Preservation Association's Community Resiliency Workshops! Through a series of engaging, hands-on sessions held on the third Saturday of June, July, and August, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to implement nature-based solutions that benefit both your neighborhood and Houston's vital bayou systems.

Each workshop will cover a different topic related to green stormwater infrastructure, water management, and environmental sustainability. And the best part? You'll get to put your new skills into practice with hands-on activities and take home a kit at no cost to get you started.

Rainwater Harvesting Workshop - August 17th

Harness the power of rainwater! Join us for our second Resiliency at Home Workshop focused on rainwater harvesting. Discover the importance of water conservation and learn how to capture rainwater to reduce runoff and support healthy bayous. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and assemble your own rain barrel, and take home all the knowledge and tools you need to implement this resilient solution in your own backyard. Let's work together to conserve water and build resilience in our community.

Register now — We hope to see you there!
